Del.icio.us #13
As I work my way through the 23 things, I find I'm positively delighted by some of them: the Library Thing claimed my allegiance in an instant, Rollyo was easy to use and has a wealth of possibilities to offer, and I loved playing with the image generators. But some of the other Things we've been exploring leave me mildly peeved. Thing #13 is one of them. Perhaps because I'm spoiled and want something more visually attractive. Or because I've not spent enough time with it, and still feel I get better results with Google.

Rollyo!
Cooking was the subject of this particular searchroll...
It made me soooo hungry!!!!
Check out Cooking Spree , and if it makes you creative, culinarily speaking, Share! :)

Technological thoughts
Technology - Thing 7
What a subject...where to start?
I'm feeling fickle, so I'll skip the great picture and zero in on a relatively new devise that I'm enamored with: play-aways (yes, I'm a geek)
I've always enjoyed the concept of audio books, but I never got around to buying a portable cd player, my car has a tape deck, and let's face it: I'm just not organized enough to keep track of multiple components when it comes to my world of reading. I can handle a book, don't ask me to keep track of tapes...which one was I listening to? where did I leave it?
...so, play-aways, what an invention! ...the all in one concept: yes! ...light weight, attachable to me, with a memory, it knows where I stopped...and I love being able to speed up the narrator's voice :)

Just for fun
Working on Thing 6 here...
there are many fun and useful things out there, but who cares? The 5 year-old in me was immensely pleased with Matchr ...
a game that asks you to figure out which two of a selection of 16 pictures share the same tag. Need a break from working hard? this might do the trick...then again, if you're prone to talking to your computer you might want to watch it..."what do you mean that's tagged DC?!?! it's a LEAF!!!"...anyway, have fun!

Tinos

As a librarian and former cataloger, I'm cringing at the lack of authority records here...:)
The appropriate spelling for this particular village is Pyrgos, though you'll also get some good Flickr pictures by searching for Pirgos, it's all the same, located on the Greek island of Tinos, in the Aegean sea.

7.5 Learning Habits
Since we're invited to state which of the 7.5 learning habits is easiest and which is hardest, I must admit, I've had a life-long problem with setting goals: "what do you want to be when you grow up?" "....oh, i don't know..." I knew better, even at a very young age, than to admit I wanted to be a mermaid...and please, don't tell me that's a goal!
I think habit 7.5 is the easiest: Play!, oh, I can do that! it appeals to the explorer in me: what new thing can I investigate today? I think that's why I'm an avid, yet fickle crafter: scrapbooking, crochet, painting, jewelry making, chocolate making...the list goes on, I've done it all...have I done it well? seriously now! I'm just playing!

Frazzle's first post
Well, it has taken me forever, but I'm finally starting this Learning 2.0 thing.
I'm looking forward to catching up with the rest of you!
