The End? # 23

Well, there we go, all 22 tasks accomplished.
This was a great learning experience, in spite the occasional teeth gnashing: "How do you make this work???? oh, I see, never mind".
Before I started this training the most adventurous thing I did online was email, well, ok, and an occasional online order. Now I'm staying in the loop with bloglines; I've enhanced my crafting with flickr; have new and wonderful ways to entertain myself with Youtube and podcasts. I've also developed a better understanding and greater appreciation for blogs and wikis (the world doesn't start and end with wikipedia).
So Yay! Learning 2.0, and thank you for broadening my horizons...
...and yes, I would certainly take part in other LCPL learning adventures!

E-Audiobooks #22

I love Netlibrary. The ebooks have so often come to my rescue when there is nothing on our shelves and the patron needs something *Now*. The audiobooks offer a nice variety of titles. There are several teen titles that I'll probably explore once I have my player...ah! the end is near!

Podcasting # 21

Well, this was enlightening. Who knew there would be so many podcasts by library teens?
Here's one of many that are out there:

YouTube #20

I like the way YouTube is organized in useful categories. I naturaly spent most of my time in the comedy section. The following educational video ties in nicely with everything we've been learning. What is podcasting?

Thing 19

I spent way too much time playing with all the web 2.0 tools. ColorBlender was particularly fun, especially since I've got a room that needs painting.
Check it out: http://colorblender.com/

Thing 17

Played with the PB wiki: so many ideas, so much to do, so much to see!
